Thanks WWL-TV for inviting our Captain Tom and Duchess Suzie Hunt to be on the morning news to talk about Mona Lisa & MoonPie's 30th anniversary. They also got to visit with Laura Buchtel, the Royal Meteorologist for the 2014 parade. Her job is to keep the rain away as have all of her predecessors.

12th Night Party moved to Friday

Cap'n Tom says with the Saints win and playoff game Saturday, The Krewe of Mona Lisa & MoonPie will move its annual Twelfth Night party to welcome the Carnival season to Friday - same time same place.
The public is invited to the Twelfth Night Kings and Queens Party to be held Friday beginning at 7 p.m. at Patton’s Salmen-Fritchie House, 127 Cleveland Ave., in Olde Towne Slidell.
The Randy Hebert Group, which features former King of MoonPie Steve Bacharach on saxophone, will provide the musical entertainment. There will be food, refreshments, king cake and a cash bar. Admission is free for members and $5 for the public.
The krewe will crown its 2014 royals, Kim Bergeron and Kevin Foltz. The walking parade rolls 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 in Olde Towne Slidell.

12th Night Party

Krewe of Mona Lisa & MoonPie kicks of the New Year and Mardi Gras season.
Party with the Krewe of Mona Lisa & MoonPie to celebrate 12th Night and the beginning of the Mardi Gras season.
Musical entertainment by former King MoonPie Steve Bacharach and Company.
Crowning of the 2014 Queen Mona Lisa Kim Bergeron and King MoonPie Kevin Foltz.
Saturday, Jan. 4, 7 p.m. at Patton's, Salmen Fritchie House, 127 Cleveland Ave. off Front St.
Celebrate the krewe’s 30th anniversary year during their annual 12th Night King/Queen Party.
Admission is free for Krewe members and non-members can attend with a $5 cover charge. 
Individuals and families can sign up for membership at the party.
A light supper and king cake will be served and a cash bar will be available.

Redline plays Red Beans & Rice Ball

Join the parade, then go to the after party as the Krewe of Mona Lisa & Moon Pie hosts its Red Beans & Rice Ball following the parade on Saturday, Feb. 15, 8 p.m. at Slidell Municipal Auditorium.
Krewe members party for free. The public is invited and ball tickets are $25.
Beer, food, music and dancing with the krewe. A Mini-MoonPie Party for youths is available for our guests.

Queen Mona Lisa 2014 chosen

The Krewe of Mona Lisa & MoonPie makes a raucous entry into the East St. Tammany Cultural Economy Coalition meeting to serenade coalition member Kim Bergeron with their request that she be Queen Mona Lisa 2014.
